Yes, a guy LEFT me and I waitED for 2 years. Past tense. From one point, it is pathetic (I ain’t gonna deny that just because). But what made it a bit less pathetic was, I actually tried finding someone else. It’s not like I stayed in my room for two years and eat nothing but ice cream, plastics (?) and other crap or something. But it just didn’t work. Because, how can you find someone better when you’ve had the best?

I waited because I knew what and who I wanted. So I held on to that. Nothing wrong with that. If he didn’t come back, I would’ve stopped. Waiting that is, not loving him. And I’d rather “lose” after a fight rather than surrendering after 2 seconds. At least I fought for something I believed in. You should try that sometimes.
So yeah, I don’t mind if people see that as something pathetic - hell, sometimes when I talk about the past with my fiance, I joke about it (yes, I like to laugh at myself quite a lot about the things/mistakes I’ve done) - but look at where I am now.
